“I am so reliant on it I can't bear the thought of going back to tickling a paper calendar in an effort to keep everything straight with my caseload.”

Overseer utilizes several layers of redundant security systems to zealously protect your data at all times. We encrypt all sensitive communications between your computer and our server. We encrypt all sensitive data stored in our data base. We store no data in cookies on your computer - just an encrypted session identifier which is required for web-based login systems.
Overseer Law Office Software utilizes a reputable third party, Authorize.net, to store all payment and credit card data, so no payment data ever touches our system, and is sent via encrypted connection to Authorize.net's high security data servers. All recurring transactions are triggered from our system, but processed on Authorize.net's servers.
All data input forms with passwords or other sensitive data are processed over SSL, as are all login-protected areas. Using the Secure Sockets Layer is what makes the little lock icon appear in your browser. This means that all communication between the web browser on your client computer and our server is encrypted at 256 bit strength. That way, anyone who intercepts or listens in on the communication won't be able to decipher it. This is the industry standard, used in shopping carts and other areas where sensitive data is being exchanged.
No data is stored on your client computer in the form of cookies. Only an encrypted session identifier is stored in session login cookies or, if the user chooses, a persistent login cookie that will allow auto logins for up to a month. This persistent login will not work if we detect anything suspicious, requiring a manual log in. After 30 days all auto logins must be renewed by manually logging in.
